  • Comments / notes : Uncommon but not rare. Easily recognised by its glaucous and almost veinless leaves. Wood rather soft, light yellowish when freshly cut.
  • Key identification features : An elegant tree with a greyish bark, cut light brown, mealy-fibrous, Leaves 4-8 in. long, broad, oblong to oblong-elliptic or oblong-lanceolate, base rounded or obtuse, glabrous, dark green above, glaucous beneath; lateral nerves hardly visible. Flowers 0.5 in. long, on slender reddish pedicels 1in. long, from nodules on the branchlets below the leaves. Ripe carpels 0.25 in. diam., almost globular, 3-7 from a flower.
