  • Key identification features : Very close to A. mexicana morphologically. as well as cytologically (Malik & Grover, 1975), but can be distinguished by its oblong buds, longer sepal-horns, large flowers with pale-yellow petals and spindle-shaped capsules having more widely spaced and coarse spines.
