  • Comments / notes : The report regarding the species was only from its type locality i.e. Temple gate, Thalassery, Kannur, Kerala. But now the species is being reported from Kondhane, Raigad, Maharashtra.
  • Key identification features : Perennial herb, up to 35 cm in length; bulbs are 2 in number, ovoid in shape and white coloured: Leaves are 3 – 6 acute and contemporary with flowers, slightly reflexed, lanceolate-elliptic,base of the leaf is narrowing and abruptly tapering above; perianth and staminal cup is funnel shaped, staminal cup is 0.7 – 1 cm in length, with 12 teeth respectively between filaments; filaments are longer than the teeth and the teeth is 2 – 5 mm in length. Stamens 6 in numbers and it is inserted at the throat of perianth tube
