  • Habitat : Often found gowing in evergreen forest near streams
  • Key identification features : A small tree. Leaves 2-4 in. long and about half as broad, broad elliptic, shortly acuminate, well rounded at the base, glabrous, lateral nerves 6-8 pairs, fine and looping rather far from the margin. Flowers small, nearly 1 in. long, yellowish green; inner petals twice as long as the outer, thick, their apices curved outwards; stamens 6 or 7. Ripe carpels about 1 in. diam., globular, glabrous and glossy.
