  • Comments / notes : High altitudes of Wyanad forest. This is a distinct species, not related to any in the whole Section, but it is included in the Section ‘Sub-umbellatae’ because of sub-umbellate inflorescence.
  • Key identification features : Decumbent annual runner, rooting at nodes; leaf base cordate; inflorescence sub-umbellate; flowers cleistogamous, dull white; lip is cymbiform, white; spur present, 1cm long, ascending; wing petal 2-lobed, upper lobe oblong, pinkish, lower lobe ovate, purplish at the base of distal lobe there are two purplish dot like outgrowths, but no dorsal auricle. Capsule ellipsoidal, glabrous, greenish yellow
