  • Key identification features : Evergreen trees up to 20 m tall; Leaves simple, alternate, oblong, hairy beneath, base rounded or cordate, apex narrowed, margin entire; Flowers unisexual, dioecious, in dense axillary clusters, Tepals 3, fused at base, orange; Fruits ellipsoid, broad, hairy, green when young, orange when mature; Seeds hard, one-seeded, covered with red aril.
