  • Key identification features : A small tree. Leaves alternate to subvericillate, oblanceolate, acute at apex, rounded and more or less auricled at base. Inflorescence a large terminal panicle. Calyx lobes triangular, acute. Corolla pink; lobes with resinous dots. Berry 7 mm across, striate, red when ripe.
