    (Balsam Family)
  • Family (Hindi name) : GUL-MEHNDI FAMILY (गुलमेंहदी फैमिली)
  • Family (as per The APG System III) : Balsaminaceae
  • Species Name (as per The IPNI) : Unresolved name

  • Comments / notes : According to J. Dessai et al., critical observations were made of the type specimens of I.agumbeana and I.barberi and they reveal that both the species are morphologically similar with minor variations such as height of the plant, length of spur and dorsal auricle. Their other collections show that all these characters are continuous variations. Hence, they have synonymised I.agumbeana under I.barberi.
