  • Comments / notes : Rare in evergreen forests, near stream of Eastern Ghats. The young leaves are greenish-white or almost white and come out in the month of February. The acid fruit is eaten.
  • Key identification features : A handsome tree with greenish, angled, branchlets, bark dark coloured, out yellowish. Narrowly oblong to oblong-lanceolate, acute or rounded at the base and apex, thick; petioles strong. Flowers greenish-white, in axillary fascicles or from the scars of the fallen leaves. Fruit globose, dark yellow when ripe.
