  • Key identification features : Prostrate herb in dry places; Stems striate, with few scattered brown hairs. Flowers alternate, binate, on distant raised collars on rachis, bracteate. Pods moniliform, 4-5 segmented, segments almost fully exserted except the basal one segment which is partly covered by persistant calyx lobes.
