  • Comments / notes : The true D.viscosa is found only along the coastal plains, and the variant D.viscosa var. angustifolia is often found at higher altitudes inland. The disctinction can be made based on the flowers being bisexual and the fruits always 2-coccoid, straw coloured in D.viscosa and the flowers being unisexual and the fruits always 3-coccoid, tinged with reddish when ripe on the wings in D. viscosa var. angustifolia. (Matthew, 1983).
