  • Comments / notes : Often on plains in poor gravelly soil, scrub jungles, wayside, wasteland and by arable lands. The Female Plants are very common but the male are extremely rare. Leaves are sweet.
  • Key identification features : Bractsand bracteoles rounded, green with white margin. Flowers densely wolly oblong or linear spikes. Seeds dark brown polished
