- Key identification features : Shrubs, 1-4 m high; younger parts densely, greyish tomentose; Leaves oblolng or ovate-Ianceolate, entire or serrulate, densely woolly beneath; Flowers white in axillary or terminal, thyrsoid, cylindric spikelets; Capsules ovoid or ellipsoid, flattened.
