  • Key identification features : Small shrub, often procumbent on rocks, with short clusters of 2-4 widely funnel-shaped pink-flushed flushed flowers, gradually turning white, 3.5-5 cm long, with bristly flower stalks; Corolla-tube wide, with 5 notched overlapping lobes; Calyx deeply 5-lobed; Stamens 10; Leaves elliptic 5-9 cm, with conspicuous bristly margins and scaly beneath; A widely branched shub to 2 m, with young shoots, leaves, leaf-stalks and calyx all more or less bristly-haired; Capsule 1.6 cm, with persistent calyx.
