  • Key identification features : Aquatic herbs attached to rocks in rapid flowing streams and rivers. Thallus is highly varied: crustaceous and/or pinnately branched thallus. Thalloid growth 50-80 cm long. Flowers apetalous, greenish, dimerous. Capsules 8-ribbed, anisolobous.
