  • Key identification features : Culms are sparsely tuberculate & hairy below the panicles, nodes of the panicles are bearded with long hairs, Lower glume is glabrous, acuminate or caudate-acuminate & three- to five-nerved, deep brown upper lemmas that are granulate or muricate at their distal half.
