  • Key identification features : Leaves firm, oblong-lanceolate, glabrous, more or less shining above, more or less shining above, lighter beneath, petiole gland-bearing above. Flowers large and showy, solitary, sessile. Fruit large, oblong-ovoid, compressed, pubescent, the flesh hard and splitting at maturity disclosing the shallow pitted stone.
