  • Key identification features : Herbs or undershrubs, perennial,erect, ascending, rootstock woody; stems obtusely quadrangular, shallow to deeply grooved, strigose hairy. Flowers white, in many-flowered axillary heads; calyx campanulate, straight, 10-ribbed, strigose on ribs, reticulately veined inside. Corolla tube glabrous inside, hairy outside, upper lip bearded, concave, lower 3-lobed, midlobe large, emarginate.
