Key identification features : A small tree. Leaves alternate, ovate-oblong, acute to acuminate at apex, rounded and asymmetrical at base, hairy beneath. Inflorescence of terminal corymbose cymes; cymes shorter than the leaves. Flowers bisexual, yellowish, with foetid smell. Fruit a drupe, oblong, purple
