  • Comments / notes : Occasional in red soils in grass dominated slopes of degraded dry deciduous open forests at elevations 400–600m. Rhynchosia ravii is closely allied to Rhynchosia beddomei.
  • Key identification features : Erect shrubs with a hieght of 1.2 m, presence of glandular tipped hairs, and glands are present on the leaves and it is trifoliate, each leaf has 2 stipels and it is caducous; leaflets are dimorphic, with dense, short, fine, greyish-white hairs that is canescent on both sides; Inflorescence is an axillary raceme with 1- 3 racemes per axil, slender, filiform, goldenyellow and laxlyflowered; bracts are ovate, deeply or shallowly 3-lobed; calyx tube is 2–4 mm in length; gynoecium as long as or longer than the staminal sheath; fruits are oblong and 2-seeded
