- Key identification features : A large tree. Leaves oblong-lanceolate, acuminate, glabrous, coriaceous. Male fl: white in short axillary cymes. Calyx campanulate, 5-lobed. Female fl: in short dense clusters on old wood. Fruit subglobose, hard, woody; fruiting calyx hard, woody, tomentose, appressed to the basal part of the fruit. Seeds oblong-oval; endosperm not ruminate
