  • Key identification features : Succulent herbs with stem swollen at nodes; Leaves opposite, pubescent above, glabrous below; Flowers axillary; Calyx glabrous, white to pink; Corolla winged, lobed, glabrous; Anthers pink, glabrous; Fruit is a capsule, ellipsoid-oblong, glabrous; Seeds subglobose, laterally slighly compressed, glabrous, shiny, blackish brown.
