  • Comments / notes : Along margins of evergreen forests. Usually under the canopy of huge trees but also occurs in open plains; often grows in association with I.dasysperma, 500 – 1000m.
  • Key identification features : Annual herb; stems procumbent at base. Leaves serrate and long-glandular-ciliate. Corolla bright red or purple; wings subequally 2-lobed. Capsule oblong, glabrous. Seeds hairy.
