  • Key identification features : A small annual herb, branches rooting at nodes, covered with white hairs. Leaves opposite, sessile, lanceolate. Flowers in axillary or terminal peduncled heads, white in colour. Achenes cuneate, winged with no pappus.

  • Comments : Plants are highly medicinal. Extract of leaves are used to stimulate appetite, improve memory & for eye disorders. Occasionally found growing amongst moist places across paddy fields, lakes and river beds.
