  • Key identification features : A large spreading evergreen tree. Leaves are simple, oblong-lanceolate, acute or acuminate at apex. Flowers are small, bisexual, reddish-white or yellowish-green and borne on much-branched panicles. Stamens are reduced to a single fertile stamen. Fruit is a single-seeded fleshy drupe. Bark is grey-brown, furrowed, exfoliating.
