  • Key identification features : A much branched succulent herb; stems extensively creeping and rooting at the modes, reddish, glabrous. Leaves opposite, oblanceolate, fleshy. Flowers axillary, solitary. Calyx deeply 5-lobed, lebes lanceolate. Stamens many, free, inserted in the mouth of the calyx-tube. Ovary 3-4 celled; ovules many by perianth. Seeds many, reniform, black.
