- Key identification features : A large annual undershrub to a small shrub-like bush on marshes, ponds and puddles of water. Stem is slender and erect. Leaves are pinnately compound and is prickly. Flowers (less than a cm) are 1-4 in short axillary racemes. Corolla creamish-white with maroon nectar guide. Pods are about 3-4 cm, straight and 6-10-jointed.
