  • Key identification features : A moderate-sized tree, armed with scattered prickles. Leaves are glabrous with oblong, small, unequal-sided leaflets, often with galls. Flowers are small in long catkins and with an yellow petals. Pods are turgid, slightly curved, slender and pale brown.

  • Comments : The flower arrangement on the inflorescence resembles flowers strung in a garland. Leaves a good fodder for cattle. Poor-mens fuel.
