Although it has been included in the Flora of Coorg (Keshavamurthy & Yoganarasimhan, 1990), it is based on the earlier report as the authors did not collect the plant. Specimens have been collected from Uttara Kannada and Udupi districts, and reported in 2011. Ref: Hegde, Gurumurthi R., Prakash D., Hebbar, S. S., Bhat, K. G. & G. R. Hegde 2010.
