- Key identification features : Diffuse slender herbs with fibrous roots. Leaves are linear-lanceolate, acute or acuminate. Flowers are in panicles, pink or bluish-pink in colour. Staminal filaments are bearded.

- Comments : Occasional on hills above 750 m, by perennially moist rocks, on thin layer of soil, less in plains of scrub jungles.
