  • Key identification features : A small herb that roots from nodes. The branches are prostrate and diffuse. Leaves are alternate, sessile, lanceolate with tapering tip. Flowers (2.5 cm) 1-3 in an axillary inflorescence and are enclosed in an expanded leaf-like bract. Fruit is an oblong capsule.
