  • Key identification features : A slender, diffusely branched sub-erect creeping herb. Leaves are sessile, linear and pointed at apex with short inflated sheath below. Flowers (1.2 cm across) are blue or pink. Staminal filaments bearded. Fruit is an oblong capsule.

  • Comments : Common in moist places to about 1000 m on hills and abundant around rice fields.
