  • Key identification features : Small evergreen trees. Leaves elliptic to elliptic lanceolate, subcoriaceous, base acute, margin entire or obscurely crenate, acute at apex. Inflorescence axillary dichasioid cymes, 1-3 flowered, peduncles and pedicels stout. Flowers reddish, calyx 4-5 lobed, 1.3 cm in diameter, petals fimbriate. Capsule valves deeply obcordate.
