  • Key identification features : A tall herb. Leaves are lanceolate to linear-lanceolate, coarsely srrate at the margin, 1-8 x acute at the apex. Heads are in long leafy panicles, involucre of bracts hairy. Ray florets purplish; disc florets are pale yellow. Achenes 1 mm long, subglabrous. Pappus yellowish, hairs 3 mm long.
