  • Key identification features : A root parasite on trees and woody plants with purplish or white flowers and leaves- which are reduced to scales. Calyx ribs are 5, obscure and running to the apex of lobes. Corolla is lilac.

  • Comments : Often grows on plains and rocks in loose soil. More robust after rains.
