  • Key identification features : A small hemiparasitic herb on grasses with green linear leaves. Flowers are in a spike, cream-yellow or pink, less than 1 cm across. Fruit is a capsule.

  • Comments : On foothills to 1400 m on bare pasturelands and on gravelly rocks with loose soil. More abundant after rains and much smaller in size in higher altitudes.
