- Key identification features : An erect annual herb. Leaves are sessile, sharply aristate-serrate. Flowers are in terminal racemes, corolla is pinkish-white. Stamens 2, staminodes 2. Capsule is more than twice the length of calyx.

- Comments : Often grows well on banks of streams and in marsh up to 750 m. More prominent and mixed with grasses after rains.
