  • Key identification features : A diffuse and hirsute herb mostly rooting at nodes. Leaves are sessile, ovate-suborbicular, crenate and penninerved. Flowers are solitary and pedicelled. Corolla is white with brown upper lip. Capsule is globose equalling the deeply divided calyx.

  • Flower, Fruit : July-December
  • Comments : Abundant on marshes and on moist places up to 1300 m. Common along borders of ponds or tanks in wet and dry lowlands and hills.
