  • Key identification features : A large deciduous tree with milky latex and spreading branches. Leaves are crowded at the branch ends, cream-coloured. Flowers (1.5 cm) are borne in dense drooping fascicles at the ends of branches. Fruit (5 cm) is fleshy and orange when ripe. Bark is grey, rough and scaly.

  • Comments : Occasional in plains of scrub jungles and deciduous slopes up to 900 m. Flowers are sweet scented with nectar. A range of parasitic Loranthus spp. are common on this tree.
