  • Key identification features : A small tree with a spreading crown. Leaves are alternate, compound, exstipulate; leaflets about 2-3 pairs, elliptic-oblong, obtuse or emarginate. Inflorescence is a terminal or axillary thyrse. Flowers are 1-1.2 cm across, polygamous and slightly zygomorphic. Petals show scales, the outer reflexed and the inner laciniate. Fruit is yellow, velvety-tomentose, depressed at apex when ripe and 3-celled. Bark is yellowish-brown and relatively smooth.
