  • Key identification features : A moderate size evergreen tree up to 10 m. Young branchlets profusely branching. Flowers white.

  • Comments : Rare, as an understorey shrub to a small tree in semi-evergreen forests and evergreen forets of Eastern Ghats. The plant is highly variable. Southern Eastern Ghats specimens have bifoliolate, petiolate condition, while the northern Eastern Ghats specimens have a simple sub-sessile leaf condition.
