  • Key identification features : A medium-sized glabrous tree. Leaves are opposite, elliptic-lanceolate, acute or acuminate. Inflorescence is a globose head, yellowish-purple. Calyx-lobes 5, triangular. Corolla is funnel-shaped. Fruit is a 2-valved capsule, crowned with the persistent calyx-lobes. Seeds are winged.
