  • Key identification features : A small deciduous tree. Leaves are crowded at the ends of the branchlets, obovate or elliptic, glabrous above, pubescent on the nerves beneath. Flowers are small, greenish-white, sessile, in dense cylindric shortly panicled spikes. Corolla tube is short; lobes are ovate. Capsule ovoid, erect, up to 2 cm long.
