  • Key identification features : A small armed tree with spines on leaf axis. Bark is greyish-brown, rough. Branchlets with an elevated scar. Leaves are chartaceous, orbicular-ovate to obovate, lower surface is tomentose than the upper surface. Flowers are in axillary cymes. Fruit is a berry, globose and seeds are smooth.
