  • Key identification features : Armed shrubs. Spines are very conspicuous to about 5 cm long. Leaves are ovate-obovate. Inflorescence is a few-flowered cyme. Flowers are greenish-white, 4-merous. Drupe is obcordate, furrowed.

  • Comments : In plains to 1000 m. Common in scrub forests, especially in laterite soils. Fruits are edible
