  • Key identification features : A small evergreen tree with a rounded crown, short trunk and wolly new twigs. Bark with lenticels and evenly spaced markings. Leaves are simple, alternate, margin serrate and densely hair beneath. Flowers are creamish-white produced on stiff panicles and with a sweet aroma. Fruit is soft and fleshy, yellow when young.
