- Key identification features : An erect slender herb. Leaves are subsessile, alternate or the lower subopposite, broadly ovate or obovate, acute to mucronate at tip. Flowers are axillary, solitary. Corolla is white, rotate, shorter than the calyx. Ovary is globose. Fruit is a globose capsule, membranous, circumsceissile. Seeds are many, trigonous and black.
