  • Key identification features : Herbs, annuals, ascending. Leaves are 2-3 X 0.3-0.5 cm, ovate-lanceolate, apex acute or acuminate, hairy, margins cartilaginous. Spikelets are globose, 0.12-0.15 cm long, glumes are broadly elliptical, obtuse, distinctly unequal, the lower shorter and narrower than the upper, anthers of the lower florets are about 0.07-0.09 cm long.
