- Key identification features : A medium-sized deciduous tree. Leaves are large, coriaceous, obovate-oblong. Flowers in panicles, greenish-white, small and polygamous. Calyx is deeply divided. Stamens are smaller in female flowers. Thalamus is fleshy. The fruit is a resinous nut. Bark is dark brown, exfoliating in irregular patches.
