- Key identification features : Moderate-sized evergreen trees with a compact crown, bark is light-grey, smooth and lenticellate. Leaves are coriaceous, lanceolate to obovate or elliptic-oblong, glabrous, shining with an acute apex, bluntly acuminate. Flowers are white, fragrant in cymose fascicles. Corolla is elongate, 4-lobed, adhering in pairs at its base. Drupe is bluish with thin endocarp and about 1 or 2 seeds.
